Our Approach
Management and Sustainability
Advice on the implementation of management initiatives, sustainable projects, and the development of regulatory frameworks, as well as the creation of discussion spaces between social groups, organizations, private sectors, and the government.
Socio-Economic Project
Create social and economic information on fishing activities using primary and secondary information sources for the design and viability of projects involving technical, social, economic, and legal initiatives.
Training and implementation of new technologies
Increase the capacity of fishers, government officials, and commercial firms to complement and strengthen their knowledge through an interactive and participatory paradigm. Likewise, implement pilot projects on the adaptation and application of new technologies in the fishing sector (monitoring, mitigation, traceability).
Data Collection, Analysis and Traceability
Provide support for adequate data collection (i.e., protocol and instrument design), database preparation, systematization, and analysis in the many connections of the fishing operation (fishing, landing, processing, and marketing).
Satellite Monitoring Systems and Illegal Fishing
Preparation of technical reports based on satellite data from vessel monitoring systems (AIS-VMS) and satellite images of the oceans. And the use of these technologies to detect illegal fishing (in domestic and international waters) and marine pollution.
Marine fauna and
Bycatch
Advice on the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at bycatch mitigation and reduction, offering workable solutions based on knowledge of fisheries (technological, social, and economic) and their interactions with marine life.
